How the calculation works
Each factor above has a documented weight in how your FICO score is calculated. Removing a collection account typically raises 15 to 30 points. Lowering your utilization from over 30% to under 10% usually gives 30 to 50 points. Successfully disputing charge-offs gives another 30 to 50.
We apply a 15% attenuation factor to avoid overpromising. The FICO model has diminishing returns and you can't raise the score arbitrarily.
This calculator is educational. The actual increase depends on how many items can be successfully disputed and on your specific history. For a precise analysis we need to see your three reports.
